If my family could travel without limits to time, finances, or health we would take the following trip to Bermuda:

We could get round trip tickets for the first week of May to enjoy the spring weather before the plane tickets and hotel prices increase to summer rates. Currency conversion is not necessary, because they accept USA currency in Bermuda. I would need to update my pass port to my married name for the trip. Traveling round Bermuda is easy with a bus and ferry schedule and tickets. and It rains frequently in Bermuda so it is important to pack for both beach fun and storms.

We could rent a small cottage or apartment through AirB&B. This way we could enjoy having access to a fridge and a kitchen to reduce our eating out travel expenses. Many also provide beach toys and towels.  Many Bermuda homes also have crispers to keep food from getting soggy from the high humidity. I strangely enjoy going to grocery stores and farmers markets when traveling to other countries more than going to restaurants. It is fun to see and try the different foods that aren’t sold there, and talk to people about recipes. There is often someone wanting to share a great recipe that you won’t find in a restaurant or cook book.

Itinerary

fishing tour: on the first morning there. DAY 2:

Hogs Bay Park: for a day in nature hiking, snorkeling and beach time. Beach time is limited to low tide hours, so plan ahead.  This National park is 38 acres of trails and coast line includes the dead cedar forest.
